2 CHOICES: STANDARD OR "GAUDÍ SPECIAL" A great addition to a stay in Barcelona or while traveling in Spain. We pick you up and drop you off in Barcelona and you enjoy three relaxing days of cooking classes, winery tours, an olive oil tasting presentation and a cultural tour in the beautiful and yet unspoilt region of El Priorat, known for its world class wines and olive oils. Accommodation is at our own private Boutique Cooking Hotel. There is also a "Gaudí" option that includes a visit to his birthtown of Reus where the wonderful Gaudí Museum is and where you have a guided tour of the unique Modernist architecture of the town. 2 CHOICES: "RICE SPECIAL" OR "GAUDÍ SPECIAL" Many of our guests have been sad to leave after only 3 days, and this extra day helps ease this sensation, and also makes for a more complete program than our shorter one. It is similar to a standard 3- Day program but the extra day is devoted to extra rice-based dishes, visiting the Ebro delta rice fields and a rice producer, if one chooses the "Rice" option, or there is the "Gaudí" option, where part of a day is spent in the famous architect's hometown, Reus, where we go on a guided tour of the Modernist architecture as well as an interactive tour of the Gaudí Museum. Pick-up at 10h30AM on Day 1 Drop-off at 11AM on Day 5 1,200€-1,600€/PERS. |
Six days makes for a very complete cooking & wine vacation. Nothing is missing from the moment we pick you up in Barcelona until we drop you off again six days later. Daily hands-on cooking classes, several winery visits and cultural excursions, olive oil tasting, wonderful meals and delicious wines, always surrounded by beautiful landscapes and friendly people. Both the "Rice Special" day and the "Gaudí Special" day are included as well. In September there is also the "Grape Harvest" option and in November the "Olive Harvest" choice. In each of these a day is spent harvesting, learning how wine or olive oil is produced and having a delicious and fun al- fresco meal with the whole harvesting crew. Just a two hour pleasant train ride South along the coast from Barcelona and then inland to the Priorat region, where we pick you up at the train station. This program includes two winery tours with tasting focused on the DO Montsant wines of the Priorat, two hands-on Catalan cooking classes with their respective meals accompanied by quality local wines, one night accommodation in your own private double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and a lovely varied breakfast. Leave Barcelona at 1PM on Day 1 Back in Barcelona at 8PM on Day 2 225-250€/PERS. |
Just a two hour pleasant train ride South along the coast from Barcelona and then inland to the Priorat region, where we pick you up at the station and head to the Clos de l'Obac winery for a full tour and tasting. From here we head to Catacurian for a fun and instructive hands-on Catalan cooking class followed by a scrumptious meal with regional wines. If you are already in the city, why not spend part of a day dedicated to learning the intricacies of Catalan cooking, with a hands-on cooking class in Barcelona. We meet on the Ramblas and start out with a commented tour of the famous Boquería market. We then proceed to a private apartment which is set up for teaching hands-on to up to six people and where you will receive very personalized instruction on how to cook several Catalan dishes and this will be followed by a delicious meal of the food you prepared, all accompanied by quality Priorat/Montsant wines.
